Overview

PetTrace helps pet owners keep pet profile and symptom observation data organized.

The current MVP stores data locally on the user's device. This version does not require account creation.

Data Collected

• Pet profile details, such as name and species
• Episode details, such as title, symptom summary, selected risk level, and created date
• Episode photos selected by the user and stored locally on device
• Episode-level AI chat messages stored locally on device

How Data Is Used

• To display pet and episode history inside the app
• To support symptom tracking workflows initiated by the user

Data Sharing

The current MVP does not share in-app data with third parties from inside the app.

If a user explicitly enables a custom LLM provider in Settings, PetTrace may send episode details and episode chat messages to the user-configured third-party LLM endpoint in order to generate AI responses.

Data Retention and Deletion

In the current MVP, data remains on the device until the user deletes the app or clears local app state in a future version.
